Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,”Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
1 Chronicles 4:10
In good times and bad times, we need to constantly and and for God’s guidance, forgiveness and blessings. We need God’s hand to protect us from harm, accidents and diseases. Asking God to keep His strong hand upon our lives and to help us face our fears, challenges and lids is neither selfish nor wrong. It only shows humility and a reminder that we are children of God, therefore we should humbly ask from our Father who promised to provide us with what we ask for and to never leave us and to hold us with His right hand.
Prayer is not commanding God to give us what we want but rather a communication between us and God. It brings us into harmony with what God wants in our lives. Because God knows what’s best for His children, especially those who are obedient in following His commandments.
