A Clean and Green Mega Manila

Many people are losing hope that we can still transform the Metropolis into a clean and green one similar to what you’ll see in Hong Kong and Singapore. On the list of most favorable work places for foreigners, Metro Manila fell down to 25th from its higher spot last year. Singapore stayed on number one spot. The reasons? Cleanliness, good system, low corruption rate and almost zero crime rate which are the exact opposite of Metro Manila.
Hong Kong is the number one place in China chosen by the respondents. I’ve been to Hong Kong many times and I agree that it should be on number one spot. One thing I can’t forget with my experience in my travels to Hong Kong and Singapore is the absence of flies and mosquitoes. The public transportation system is tourist-friendly, you wouldn’t get lost even if it’s your first time in Hong Kong.
I also can’t forget how they covered the economy-class residential buildings with big trees, and how I wished that the same thing will be done here in the Manila-Cavite coastal road and in all the adjacent roads from the Naia Road to attract more tourists to visit Manila more frequently.
I pray that our next President will give priority to the beautification of Mega Manila both for tourism and health purposes. I still believe that the Philippines will shine again in this area where it used to be many decades ago.
